Moving without selling anything

I had five weeks, a one-bedroom of furniture that would not fit the new place, and no interest in running a month-long yard sale from my phone.
Week one: list everything
Thirty-one items, photographed over two evenings. Appraisals came to S$2,140. As an Established member I could spend S$1,712 of it straight away.
Week three: furnish the new place
A desk, a bed frame, two lamps and a bistro table, all within a mile of the new address. I paid about ninety dollars in fees and tax, total.
What I would do differently
List the big pieces first. They take longest to clear, and you want them claimed before the truck comes.
