Why Share Value is not resale value

If ShareHouse paid full resale value for everything, the first thing to happen would be predictable: slow, bulky items would flood in, and phones and cameras would flood out. The network would end up holding what nobody wants.

Liquidity is the fourth factor

So the appraisal asks a different question: what will this clear for, here, and how quickly? A current-generation laptop keeps nearly all its comp value. A three-seat sofa keeps about three quarters.

Spendable value today. No messages, no no-shows, no haggling. For most people clearing a garage, that trade is the entire point.
